Is Satellite Direct Legal?

By Timothy Denalterr

We have witnessed amazing evolution in technology in recent times. Things that were implausible a decade or two ago and possible now. Think about the touch phones. Or, the advancements made in the field of televisions.

Just ten years or so ago, we used to watch these big box televisions. In the last 10 years, the world of televisions has changed. There are now 3D televisions. 3D is still a work in progress. It isn't as good as the others (i.e. LCD, LED or Plasma). However, that is enough to tell you what you can expect in the future.

Another such advancement is watching television on your PC. With Satellite Direct TV, it is possible to watch a number of channels directly on your PC. It, again, is a very recent development and we expect it to improve as time goes by but in it's current avatar, it isn't a shoddy product.

Satellite Direct TV is a great alternative to DTH services, or to cable lines. It is inexpensive ($49.95, one time) and gives you access to 3,500 channels. Out of these, you won't watch most of them as they may be regional channels. It isn't an out-of-the-world deal but a good one nonetheless when you get to watch 30 good channels at $50 one time. What's more, many of them are in High Definition (HD).

You need nothing else, no equipments or anything. Obviously, you would require a good PC (or a mac) and a decent Internet connection. Other than this, you won't need anything else. A high-speed internet connection is recommended because that will help you stream the channels better.

For those who are on a budget, Satellite Direct is an amazing option. However, is it practical? There are still doubts over how it works. The legal status is in question too. Streaming the number of channels that they do at their price point is a herculean - if not impossible - task.

Asking others if they have experience with this would be a good start. Do not believe in every word you find on the Internet. A number of sites are created by affiliates who have a specific intention behind sugarcoating and promoting the product - they, after all, get paid for doing so.

Forums would be better. Forums have a number of "real" people who may have bought the product and may be able to tell you how it is. We have also reviewed the Satellite direct product on our website in depth. You may find it on Satellite Direct Review.
