Tens of Millions of Viewers Glued to the New Television Series About Gold Mining In Alaska

By Will Stintz

Specific reality TV shows have plagued our lives as a result of the so-called entertainment networks for many years now, and many viewers had simple had enough until the recent broadcast of the new tv show about gold mining starring Todd Hoffman, Dakota Fred, and Parker Schnavel. What differentiates this TV series from other reality TV shows is that many of the viewers share the dream of striking it rich with the cast of this hugely popular series.

Todd Hoffman and his father Jack Hoffman have become a major hit on the Gold Rush on Discovery without a doubt, and a lot of gossip and social buzz has gone viral on the internet. Many YouTube videos are watched by thousands everyday when they aren't watching a new episode of the show. The commonalities between the viewers and the Hoffman crew, among others cast on the Alaskan gold rush series, are what make this show a true reality TV show where the topics of economic depravity and hardships form a bond between the viewers and the cast of the show.

Discovery Channel TV show was focused on these few individuals who set out to live their dreams of mining gold in the beautiful Alaskan wilderness. As pioneers of the new age, these rookie gold miners risked it all to do something different and unrelated to the dwindling global economic health. Precious metals will always be a commodity on which one can rely, and what better way to obtain this asset than to dig it out of the ground?

Parker received funding from his benevolent grandfather and Todd and Jack scrounged up every last red cent, and at last a second season was in order with new hopes for them to find the mother lode. With Dakota Fred being the new owner of the Porcupine Creek claim, there were now three gold mining crews on the Discovery Channel's 'Gold Rush' series. The second season did not seem to have any less challenges for any of the crews than the first.

With the miners currently in better shape than their unexpectedly heart-breaking start, it seems that the gold mining television show fans are finally rewarded with some reprieve. In the media buzz, many fans expressed their strong emotional bond with these distant miners and really hoped and wished for their success. Although the miners haven't quite hit the jackpot, the turn-around of their financial health now seems inevitable.
