European Satellite TV Football

By Ronald Gilbert

If there is one thing that people in Britain love more than anything else, it is gathering together with a group of good friends to watch a football match. Whether it's the Premier League, the FA Cup or an international, watching this popular sport with a beer in one hand and friends on your shoulder is a favourite past time. However, the cost of subscriptions to the premium pay television channels like Sky Sports are expensive and beyond the reach of the average person. They turn to European satellite TV football. I will also be discussing a top quality satellite TV to PC software that I am using to watch more than 3,500 HD Channels worldwide for free.

This involves watching the self same matches but on an international feed. Practically the only difference is the commentary team: while Sky's version has popular announcers that are known for their bluster and not so much for their expertise, the international versions brought in from Europe are slightly different. Their commentators are not personalities.

Having a satellite TV software allows you to watch football matches live as they happen. These commentaries are provided in English in almost all cases. At any match, there are a variety of commentary teams, including one called the 'world feed team'. This is a pair of commentators (one action reporter, one analyst), who speak English.

Two of them have been assigned by the professional organization running the competition (whether the FA, UEFA or FIFA) to provide strong and high quality English language commentary for international markets. Often, these commentaries go as far afield as Australia, Qatar and other far flung places.

The action is still the same, regardless of the commentary feed. And as everyone knows across the world, there is no finer domestic football than that provided in Britain. The leagues here are of the highest quality, with all the world's greatest international players flocking to the United Kingdom in order to play for some of the globe's most popular clubs.

Competition is high, and the goals per game statistics compare favorably to other leagues. People from around the world strive to make sure that they can see the competition which occurs in this country. This is because it was one of the most impressive and entertaining places to see the sport played.

Of course, this can be explained by the simple fact that Britain was the inventor of what is commonly called on these shores 'the beautiful game'. It may seem strange for people to have to online to watch football matches through satellite TV, but sadly, since the monopolization of the sport's highest echelons by Sky there is no other way.

European satellite TV football watching can occur in any home or business premises. In fact, a recent case saw a pub owner appeal (and win) against a judgement which viewed it as illegal for her to broadcast Premier League matches from a foreign channel. This has set a precedent which makes it eminently possible for people to watch matches on whatever channel they like. I personally use a satellite TV on PC software that allows me to watch more than 3,000 international television channels online and highly recommend it.
