Free Open Casting Call for Commercials

By Cherise Jordan

When you go to casting calls for TV commercials you will definitely see the casting directors and staff and quite possibly the TV producers. Be sure that you treat everyone you meet with equal respect. Because you never really know who is the one really in charge. You can find open auditions for commercials and also Atlanta auditions.

Casting directors at these auditions will see a lot of candidates. This means that you don't want to push any buttons to irritate the casting directors even more. The bottom line is to be prepared and do not waste anyone's time. If you manage to piss someone off, you'll also lose your chance at that role. Be nice and smile to the casting directors when you introduce yourself and have a headshot photo with your information and your agent's information on it.

You want to make sure that you have your agent's information to give to the staff at the audition and casting call place. If you don't have an agent, you may want to consider getting one because they only get paid when they find you a job.Agents may be helpful if you don't have one. They will find you a job and won't get paid until they do. Then they will take usually around 10% of your paycheck for that job they found for you.)

The casting directors may ask you do whatever it is they want to do for the commercial. The best way to practice is to take an improv class. Casting directors will tell you to read some lines from the commercial so that they can make a decision if you are perfect for the role or not. If you are in the Chicago area, you can get casting calls.

Here are casting calls for you to apply to. Be friendly to the casting call directors and also the staff. Good luck with your TV commercial audition and I wish you the best of luck.
