DIRECT TV HD Helped Me through the Hard Times

By Maria Boyes

With today's failing economy, it has really become hard for working class people to enjoy some leisure activity outside of work. DIRECT TV HD news channels say that the rising cost of gas, healthcare, groceries and utilities has disabled people from doing things that they enjoy. It's sad when people have to pay so much to live and companies that they work for will not compensate them with raises to help with living expenses.

Selling homes, vehicles, dig into savings and 401Ks, many families have to do it just to pay their bills. Families have to get rid of things such as cell phones, cable, internet and weekly family outings just to be able to pay for gas, water, lights, rent/mortgage and groceries. People are now living pay check to pay check. Some families don't even know where their next meal is going to come from.

For families that still have a little money left to spend every month, they try and find ways to save it or use it to take their kids out to dinner or to a movie a few times a month. I don't know about you, but going out to eat and to a theater movie can be very expensive. When my family and I go out, we easily spend $100.00. That's really ridiculous if you think about it. A night out should not have to cost you an arm and a leg.

Those people who live pay check to pay check, I am one of them so I have to learn how to cut back on my spending. I was paying over $100 once every two weeks to take my daughter out to eat and then to a movie. After sitting down and calculating my expenses, I knew that there was something more productive that I could do with that money. I decided that I still wanted to use it towards entertainment. I just didn't know what to use it towards. Paying a ridiculous bill and still not getting quality service, I had my cable cut off because I was tired of it. I decided to research satellite companies. That's when I came across DIRECT TV HD. In a while, I believe that purchasing it was the best thing I had done.

For as little as $34.99 per month, my daughter and I were able to watch as many movies as we wanted whenever we wanted. I purchased the Choice Xtra package through DIRECTV. I received free equipment, HD DVR, installation in three rooms of my house and free HD for life. I could not have been happier. I no longer had to worry about spending so much money for just a few hours of entertainment. DIRECT TV HD offered me endless amounts of entertainment 24/7. Sometimes my daughter and I will even order a pizza to eat while we watch our movie! Either way, it still comes out cheaper than just one night out on the town.

Also, they have other package plan. DIRECT TV HD channels are offered with every package. I know that money is tight and that people are pushing pennies. Families can still enjoy great entertainment for less. DirecTV has a package starting out at $29.99 per month. This package comes with over 150 of America's top channels. That's a great deal! You may get more, when you want more. You can add HD for just $10.00 extra dollars a month or you can choose the Choice Xtra package for just $5.00 more dollars a month and receive double the channels with over 160 HD channels and 400+ new movie releases. Not to mention that you can watch DIRECTV on the go on your phone or your computer. Worried about missing local activities? No need to worry because DIRECTV offers your local channels for free. You will still be able to keep up with local events, weather, news and TV shows. Entertainment has never been so cheap! Customers will always receive top of the line equipment, packaging and care.

You'll never need to panic about bad quality in your channels, pictures or sounds. DIRECTV offers more channels in HD and guarantees that you will not be unhappy with your services. I am glad that I switched to DirecTV. Not only do I still have money in my pocket but I am able to enjoy great entertainment more than just a few times a month.
